Who
am
I?

Nick War.

Who am I and what are you getting when you book with me?

A seasoned tattoo artist, started tattooing in 2018 with years of shop experience under his belt.

A private studio where you can feel comfortable, unhurried and not on display.

Updated health and safety certificates and a strict adherence to hygienic practices. Most importantly your tattoo will be what -you- want. Complete transparency, comfort and communication is the standard for every single client.

Drawing influence from Western Traditional style Nick has created his own niche he likes to call Trad Polka. Mixing classic designs that pay respect to the history of the art while framing them with eyecatching background scenes that showcase the Trad components and allow them to take center stage where they shine. He pays homage to those who came before him while infusing each piece with uniqueness and personality.

The
style.

Who
Taught
Me

Hailing from Ontario originally where he completed his apprenticeship with "Bear".  One of the original advocates for Canadian tattoo artists and  a pioneer in the industry . Richard Bear and his shop "Dragonfly Tattoo" in Toronto was one of the first shops to adopt the usage of gloves. Despite the initial backlash he received for this practice it is now common and required in every reputable shop for health and safety.

MORE ABOUT NICK WAR ART

Professional Tattoo Artist

Whether you're seeking a large-scale project or a subtle tribute piece you're in good hands.

Nick is well versed in more than Traditional tattooing, he also does Realism, Black & Gray, Japanese Traditional, Cyber Sigilism, and Tribal.

Each tattoo means something different to each person. We know this. You'll leave your appointment happy with the result knowing that Nick will go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable  with the entire experience.

There is no judgement here. If you have scars you want covered up we can do that for you. Self harm or surgical. If you are a woman and uncomfortable having an appointment one on one we can arrange for a female artist to be present for your appointment. Feeling safe is the most important part, especially when it comes to working on certain body parts or areas that are associated with trauma.

As an active member of the local community, Nick offers free or heavily discounted coverups for anyone who is leaving behind certain aspects of their life (gang signs, trafficking tattoos, etc). A second chance and a fresh start shouldn't come with a financial barrier. The coverup process will be done with the utmost discretion and respect. We all make mistakes, they don't need to define our entire lives forever.
